The Vision

Making Healthcare Accessible to Everyone

With over two years of extensive groundwork in India, we aim to make healthcare accessible to everyone across the world through custom health plans and digital technology.

The Vision - Fellow Healthcare

Healthcare Through Technology

Our digital healthcare and wearable technology promise to seamlessly integrate into every person's life, empowering people to be more self-administrable with their healthcare.

Our research firm, Shark Dreams, is focused extensively on innovative research towards healthcare technology.

We came up with two strategies: Partner with the Government of India and make it mandatory, and partner with the country's top health insurance provider to save money for both the provider and policyholder.

Our Hypothesis

One of the biggest discrepancies in the healthcare industry is the presence of sample data — the inability of government and private bodies to report updated and accurate data.

In the absence of accurate data, it is often very difficult to understand the healthcare problems faced by the second largest population in the country. Over two years, we worked extensively in the sister states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where we uncovered three major shortcomings — Awareness, Accessibility, Affordability.

Our Hypothesis

"Care must be free from discrimination — age, gender, occupation, economic status, and even a pre-existing health condition. I've witnessed members of families running from pillar to post, looking for a way to ease the burden of a massive health bill while one of their loved ones was battling a serious condition in the hospital."

— Dharma Teja Nukarapu, Founder & CEO, SharkDreams

All India Exploration

12,144 Kilometers Across Incredible India

Traveling across India in 20 days is nothing short of a world record. Our team added more value with a free health insurance giveaway to over 1,000 people across all states.

Hyderabad, Telangana

The journey began in the founder's birthplace. Uncovered disparities in healthcare quality based on economic status and lack of complete health profiling.

Nellore, Andhra Pradesh

A smaller city where affordability was the biggest concern, amplified by lack of awareness and accessibility to legal healthcare practices.

Velankanni, Tamil Nadu

A major religious tourist destination with virtually no primary health centers despite thousands of annual visitors.

Kochi, Kerala

Despite a high literacy rate, people remain weary of purchasing health coverage for themselves. Super specialty hospitals unaffordable to general population.

Mangalore, Karnataka

A top medical hub where lack of awareness around insurance and pro-active care persists. Mahesh's story revealed devastating gaps in coverage.

Goa

A tourism paradise lacking multi-specialty hospitals. Pooja from a travel agency highlighted how even tourists can't find emergency care.

Mumbai, Maharashtra

Home to both Mukesh Ambani's mansion and the world's largest slum — extreme healthcare inequality in the city of dreams.

Ahmedabad, Gujarat

An important economic hub. At LD Engineering college, student Akshita shared her health emergency that cost her parents hugely.

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

Digital fraud concerns create resistance to technology. Rajat's fear of sharing personal data on apps highlighted the need for trust-building.

Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Visited Aprilia dealership where staff were thrilled about self-administering technology but feared digital fraud.

Jaipur, Rajasthan

Mohit's story: lost his elder brother during COVID-19 — the sole provider for a family of eight who couldn't afford proper care.

Gurugram, Haryana

Gurjeet from Reform Gym shared how people seek quick fixes rather than sustained healthy lifestyles.

New Delhi

Despite being the capital, healthcare awareness and the importance of pro-active monitoring remain critically low.

Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh

A Smart City with limited hospitals. Monk Rinzen shared wisdom about mental health awareness as a critically overlooked aspect of care.

Chandigarh, Punjab & Haryana

Yoga instructor Harmeet lost her 30-year-old cousin to an unexpected heart attack — highlighting the urgent need for proactive care.

Agra, Uttar Pradesh

Devender from hospitality shared how pandemic shutdown improved health by reducing work stress — revealing the work-life balance crisis.

Patna, Bihar

Improving healthcare services but held back by corruption. Vikas, a private cab operator, noted the pollution crisis from rapid growth.

Gangtok, Sikkim

Ayushman Bharat program showing progress with 24/7 services. But Dorjee shared feeling like northeast Indians don't belong.

Majuli, Assam

The world's second largest river island — 104+ boats but little healthcare development. Insurance doesn't cover boat travel costs.

Kohima, Nagaland

Site of WWII's bloodiest battle. Ranked 10th on India's Smart City list but residents forced to travel to Guwahati for adequate care.

Kolasib, Mizoram & Dharmanagar, Tripura

High literacy rate of 93.5% but lacks basic healthcare infrastructure. Dr. Ranjan emphasized strengthening primary healthcare at grassroots level.

Shillong, Meghalaya & Guwahati, Assam

Gateway to Northeast India. People had access to insurance options but lacked the understanding or technology to monitor their health.

Siliguri, West Bengal

Connecting four international borders. A major trading hub with untapped healthcare market despite growing population.

Ranchi, Jharkhand

Home to IIT and IIM. Surendra highlighted trust as a rare commodity with rising medical malpractice.

Sambalpur, Odisha

Mobile health units reaching interiors where people cannot receive proper care on time.

Raipur, Chhattisgarh

Ranked India's 6th cleanest city in 2021. A modern city with good healthcare but still emerging among India's top cities.

Smart Health Profile

Launched on 24th July 2019 with a focus on technology and data for healthcare — wearables, tracking devices, medicines, and patient-provider integration to offer faster connectivity and accessibility.

Vera - Our Contribution During the Pandemic
